About Us :
Color Your Corner founders, Debbie Monahan and Halle Chaippone.
Halle Chiappone is an Interior Designer and has been with Charley’s Loft Drapery Center in Mentor, Ohio for more than 15 years. She has worked on numerous children’s rooms and has been involved with the Lake County YMCA Dreamhouse for more than 12 years.
Working 30+ hours per week and raising three children is challenging. However, through her family’s support she still finds “extra” time to dedicate to fund raising and decorating for charity.
Debbie Monahan has two children and makes window treatments. Two years after her son was born, Debbie and her husband lost their daughter, Brynn, to a form of spina bifida called anencephaly. After her death, they started raising money for the Spina Bifida Clinic at Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital, University Hospitals, Case Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio. With seven golf outings under their belts, they have raised over $55,000.
They went on to have Chandler, now age 5, born with spina bifida and ventilator dependent. Despite spending almost her first year at Rainbows, Chandler has thrived in her home environment.
